It’s been the capital of winter sports for more than half a century and its guests have the unparalleled opportunity to ski on the slopes of Mont Blanc, Europe’s highest peak. The off-piste runs of Toula (10kms) and the Valley Blanche (30 kms) take you skiing past crevasses and ice sculptures all the way to Chamonix. 300 snow cannons insure perfect snow all season on nearly all the 100 km of ski runs at Checrouit and the Val Veny, so there’s no need to worry about the lack of snow. At the foot of the Grandes Jorasses, Val Ferret has the Aosta Valley’s best and most famous cross country tracks. The tracks vary in difficulty and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking.
